Latte Art

This is embarrassing. I never thought I’d be someone who takes photos of coffee…life is full of suprises. In any case, here’s one year of progressing at latte art.

These are the most important things I learned:

  1. Milk is the barrier to entry
If you don’t have good milk, you can’t make art.
    • Maintain a vortex at all times.
    • Only put air in for a few seconds.

  2. You want crema
If there’s no crema, you can’t make good art. Too much crema, and you can’t make art easily. It’s possible to make art in either scenario, but it’s much easier if you adjust your bean brand, roast date, and grind size until you get the perfect crema.

  3. Learn to pour
Watch some YouTube on how to pour. Practice.
